By Cornwall residents are being informed about changes to waste collection dates over the Christmas period. Cornwall Council has implemented adjustments to ensure households won’t face long delays in waste pickups. Some households may experience a two-week wait due to the festive schedule.
Christmas Tree Disposal
For households with a garden waste subscription, Cornwall Council will collect Christmas trees for disposal. Residents are advised to place their trees alongside their bins or bags on their regular garden waste collection day.
Food Waste Collection Expansion
This year marks the first time the council will be collecting food waste for recycling from most households.
Collection Schedule
No changes will occur on Monday and Tuesday collections, but there will be altered waste collection dates between Christmas Day and January 4. The council aims to minimize delays, ensuring residents wait only a few extra days for waste pickup.
